A cheap way to improve poor pistol sights

If you don’t want to get paint all over a dental pick, toothpicks work great and you can sharpen them for finer work.

  2. Robb Allen Says:

Yeah, I keep a set of dental picks handy for just such encounters.

  3. DirtCrashr Says:

Is a dental pick more tactical that the toothpick dangling from his mouth? 🙂

  4. Joe Huffman Says:

I’ve used fingernail polish to enhance sights too.

  5. ctr Says:

Why would you want those rear sights all bright and distracting?

  6. Bubblehead Les Says:

Like Joe said, Fingernail Polish is good to use. I suppose I have to give my wife’s Hot Pink back to her some day…..Don’t laugh! What is out there that could obscure THAT color that might need to be shot?

  7. Miguel Says:

Another for nail polish here. I actually use one bought Walmart’s girls section that has some sort of shinny particles in it. Orange in color.

PS: If you are using nail polish for gun sights, you don’t get points deducted from your man card. Just a stern warning 🙂

  8. Oddball Says:

The comments about fingernail polish reminds me of a thread on the now defunct BersaTalk board. There was a pretty lengthy thread on which brands/colors were the brightest and most chip resistant. There was also the mention of the absurdity of a few manly men in there 50’s and 60’s shopping for hot pink nail polish and asking the lady behind the counter which was best.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
