Very good, Uncle, linking the “gun safety” complainers to the NRA’s Eddie Eagle training for kids. I continue to say to gun-controllers: “If your objection to guns is “safety” then you should be all for the NRA’s Eddie Eagle program being invited into the public schools. Even parents who abhor guns must recognize that guns do exist. We teach, “stop, drop, and roll” to put out fires. We should teach basic, age-appropriate, firearms safety.”
That is, of course, if the gun controllers voicing concern about “safety” really care anything about firearms safety.
Put another way, “In a world 3/5 covered with water, it is wise to learn to swim. In a world of crime and warfare, only a fool cannot shoot.”
