Irony
City doesn’t want to pay property taxes. Taxes are just for the little people. If they fail to pay, seize their property like you would anyone else.
Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.

The parting message was that the city wants a payment plan to pay the taxes… In other words they do not have enough money for a lump sum allocated..

I did an internship at the Cuyahoga County Auditor’s office one summer when I was in college. The city of Cleveland doesn’t pay their property taxes either.

Ditto Breda. My city, next door to hers, is about to have it’s 3rd. State Take Over in a Decade because they keep spending money, then expect there to be enough Tax Revenue to pay for it. Of course, when your local Tax Dept. sends out its forms, and they say “How much do you THINK you’ll earn this year?”, then say “Send us 2% of your Gross”, w/o even asking to see your W-2 to prove you ain’t Cheating them, you gotta wonder who’s minding the Store. Amazing how a whole city of 25,000 people only earned $17.56!
