Actually, I put a lot of thought into it

Things anti-gunners believe: that people buy guns in a moment of passion.

    Maybe they mean gun-lust.

    I have personally purchased at least 6 firearms on a whim, from a Colt 1908 in 32ACP to a Ruger 77 in 308, but only the SMLE purchase was anything like passion, and even in that case it was more curiosity than rage.

    Yeah, I very passionately stand around for an hour or so, filling in forms and having my background checked, then unloading a few hundred bux. Man, after that I’d almost want a cigarette if I smoked. No wonder it’s an adults-only thing.

  4. Pat Says:

    I research my gun purchases with a passion. I am quite passionate about my gun purchases. Just not in the way they mean.

    While I have on many instances walked into the shop looking to buy a box of .22, or some cleaner and walked out with a new gun, I was an avid shooter and 2nd Amendment advocate for over 6 years before I went and got my first.

  6. Bubblehead Les Says:

    I’ve had to restrain my passion for Firearms ever since I got married, but that new SCAR Heavy from FNH may cause me to cheat on the Wife!

  7. Crotalus Says:

    I assume this cretin is talking about buying a gun to “settle” an argument. I ain’t buyin’ it. By the time the furious one gets to the gun store, he’s been away from the situation and thought about what he’s about to do, and stops himself. This is by far the most common response. In the rare cases where the passion settles into a grudge of such towering rage that he still wants the gun, it’s no longer “the heat of the moment”. It’s premeditated murder, based on vengeance.

    I don’t have enough money to be whimsical about anything.

    @Dirtcrashr: +1

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
