The rules
If everyone followed the four rules religiously all the time, there’d be no guns in movies. Robb talks about bending the rules of gun safety, for photos. This seems to come up often enough.

When I was a young lad in college I was photographed for some campus catalogue in my Chemistry lab. The photographer tried to insist that I not wear my admittedly nerdy lexan safety glasses. I refused, and pointed out that anyone interested in coming to my university, seeing a picture of me working in a lab without wearing safety glasses, would immediately wonder what sort of sloppy dangerous work went on there. I won and my nerdy picture, with safety glasses, was used.

Well, in general I agree with your point. But for counter argument, I cite Brandon Lee and Jon Eric Hexum.
