    Well, sure they do!

Everyone knows that fourteen acceptable deaths was too high a number! Nine is much more reasonable!

  2. BobG Says:

And if that passes, how long before they decide that you only need six rounds in a mag?

  3. wizardpc Says:

And then it will be six because that’s all revolvers have. And then it will be three because that’s the average number of shot fired in an altercation. Then it will be one.

  4. Weer'd Beard Says:

Just like registration leads to confiscation, arbitrary magazine restrictions lead to further restrictions.

They might have a hard time thinning it below 6 rounds because they’d need to ban most revolvers, but the only thing stopping them from declaring 6 the PC number is us.

  5. Bubblehead Les Says:

Six Rounds! No, no way too many! All anyone “Needs” would be a single shot for Pest Control, and that can only be in .22 Short. That’ll stop the Millions who are being killed in New Jersey every year. Idiots.

  6. trackerk Says:

You can have one bullet, but only in kit form. Assemble if needed.

  7. Chas Says:

Markie Marxist sez: “We can ban six-shooters with a 5-round magazine limit. Assault revolvers will simply have to have one chamber welded up. When we go to only allowing single shots, four more chambers will have to be welded up. Then, when we ban handguns, we will generously allow people to keep their cherished handguns, but that last chamber will have to be welded up, so that the gun can’t fire. When we find that someone drilled out the chambers and used the gun to commit a crime, we’ll have to have all those potentially dangerous guns confiscated, to protect the public. That’s how we progressives progress. One step at a time. Ha! Ha!”

Single-shot cap-and-ball muzzleloading pistols only, and you can’t keep it loaded. Not just not primed, but not loaded.

You should have time to load it if you’re attacked, dont’cha know.

  9. mikee Says:

What? Jake thinks any citizen should just be allowed to have a pistol that fires bullets up to 1/2 an inch in diameter? Those things used to be used to kill tigers! No way! And those pistols can be reloaded as often as one wants!

A blank-firing single shot cap pistol is enough for any self defense need, since one will not be allowed to actually hit the criminal with a bullet – only the noise of a cap going off should be necessary to frighten the bad gang off your living room rug.

Flintlocks, gentleman, flintlocks just like 1776
