We are all terrorists now

Mentioned the DHS center calling the ACLU terrorists. David Rittgers welcomes them to the club, with a round up of other groups accused of being terrorists.

    Nothing more than bureaucratic self-defense.

To paraphrase Max Weber, once a bureaucracy loses sight of its goal, it redoubles its effort.

Not many Islamic terrorists roving the hills and hollers of TN. Thus, to justify its funding a bureaucracy must seek out a new threat.

Can we all change our name to Spartacus, to make it easier for the DEA to identify those it plans to crucify along the road to DC?

  3. Huck Says:

“A matter of national security. The age old cry of the oppressor.”

  4. John Smith. Says:

So does that mean we can call ourselves a terrorist cell yet???

  5. Ron W Says:

The SPLC knows who all the “domestic terrorists” are, although they may be somewhat reluctant to include the ACLU.

But generally if you’re pro-Constitutional government and for ALL of he Bill of Rights, you’re probably labeled as a “domestic terrorist”.

  6. Bubblehead Les Says:

So how come the Left went all Hissy and had the Church Committee hearings in 1975 and trashed the FBI and CIA and other people for watching “Enemies”, yet they are Strangely Silent when they are doing the exact same things with the exact same same agencies? I guess if you’re a leader of the Weather Underground Murderers and you get to hang out with a corrupt Chicago “Community Organizer”, then that’s a horse of a different color, and you don’t acknowledge it. Bubblehead,

Quite often people support tyranny when “men of their choice” do it, but not when they are chosen by others. Such an attitude is a “dangerous delusion”:

“It would be a dangerous delusion were a confidence in the men of our choice to silence our fears for the safety of our rights… Confidence is everywhere the parent of despotism. Free government is founded in jealousy, and not in confidence. It is jealousy and not confidence which prescribes limited constitutions, to bind down those whom we are obliged to trust with power… Our Constitution has accordingly fixed the limits to which, and no further, our confidence may go… In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” –Thomas Jefferson

But I agree buy more ammo. A nation of riflemen cannot be tyrannized.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
