Brightly Colored Guns

In Cali, they’re concerned about their popularity. If a gun shaped object is pointed at me, I’ll presume it is one and react accordingly.

Well, if we taught kids to treat them respect, then maybe we wont have that issue. Menacing looking? That’s as stupid as “sporting”.

  2. John Smith. Says:

I guarantee if you see me with a weapon regardless of the color you will not think it is a toy…

Weapons tend to be perceived by how the person holding it looks…

Americans don’t believe in micromanaging people’s lives, Commiefornians do.

There is a slight cognitive disconnect here on the pro-gun side, easily correctable, I think.

On the one hand, we say children should be able to buy Airsoft firearm lookalikes and play “Rangers & Jihadis” or “Indians & Custer” or “Charles Bronson & Street Thugs.” I agree with that idea. Play fighting is an important part of growing up, teaching lessons that otherwise go unlearned until too late – like when some bully teaches them to the kid, or some kid tries something stupid with another kid in the real world, or worse yet, school.

On the other hand, if a gun shaped object is pointed at anyone, they should respond correctly. Correctly for the context, that is. Such simple expedients as orange tips on the toy guns have likely saved kids from serious bodily harm at the hands of grownups many times. And learning not to point even a toy gun at anyone – who does not need it pointed at them – is another important lesson kids need to learn.

The disconnect between “Go play with toy guns” and “Don’t point a toy gun at anyone you shouldn’t” is readily accommodated by teaching the kids, through their use of toy guns, that real guns are not toys. That is what I learned as a kid, and I recall the BB welts that taught me that lesson.

Ok, let me get this straight… the anti-gun crowd hates black guns because black guns are obviously evil… but they don’t want guns in other colors…

Well, that will about sum it up for today.

Markie Marxist sez: “Private citizens should not be allowed to own black guns, only the police and military should have them, because black guns are scary looking. Private citizens can’t be allowed to own brightly colored guns either, because they could be mistaken for toys. So, guess what? We have to ban all privately owned guns! Ha! Ha! Sorry, but it must be done, because it’s just common communist sense!”

  7. Huck Says:

I have no doubt that some demkommie Kalifornistan state official is writing up a ban of “brightly colored guns” as we speak. For “the good of the people” and “public safety” *pukes*

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
