Well, I just found my Cooper-ish scout rifle!

Cooper wasn’t calling any semi auto a “Scout”. He was very clear on that, and since it is his term, we’ll call it a Garand with a forward optic mount. The Leupold optic shown is called a “Scout scope” by Leupold, and so we use that term to describe the optic. I also use “Scout” in the meta tags, alt text, and maybe a page title here and there, for those who use it in search phrases though.

Got one of these from the CMP, have a 2.75x Burris Scout scope on it. Neat setup…
