I have a rifle in a roof rack of my FJCruiser. Totally invisible outside the SUV. Hard to see even in the truck. I’ve had people sit in my back seat and not realize there was a rifle over head.
Year before last, TN passed a law by which handgun permit holders can carry loaded long guns in their vehicles…which would include EBR’s. The stipulation is that a round can’t be chambered except in a potential self-defense situation.
Some rocker once had a guitar in the form of an AK-47. It would probably raise some eyebrows if you brought your EBR into the music store for a fitting, though.

At least in Kentucky, you’ll need a CDWL to transport your firearms in anything that isn’t an obvious gun case.
In fact, sticking the unloaded gun in a locked case and sticking the case in, say, a duffel bag suddenly requires that concealed carry permit.

Not tactical, it’s tact.

And another bag. But you have to break the rifle down.

From personal experience in the mid-90s, a guitar case is just the ticket to transport an AR-15 in Chicago even when walking past CPD cars.
