Flea Market Score

There’s a new indoor flea market in The City (My The City). I scored one of these Cold Steel folders for $5.

Also, I thought it was a ‘flea’ market:

Shame you couldn’t get more, you could have finished your Christmas shopping on the cheap

I’ll bet the knife is a knock-off, though nowadays I would not be surprised if it was made in the exact same China factory as the originals are, during the third shift, using slightly cheaper materials.

Still, if it stays sharp and it’s only $5, who cares?

Since I’ve busted, lost, or misplaced a bucket full of quality folding knives in my lifetime, I’d have to agree with Stalin: “Quantity has a quality all its own”.

And when it comes down to it, is the steel in that crazy overpriced Snap-On wrench really ten times better than my Craftsman from Sears? Maybe the full polish on the tool itself keeps the carburetor cleaner and aligns the gasoline molecules for better combustion efficiency?

Cool, thanks. I’ll have to hit it up one of these days.
