   If you dig a bit deeper, you’ll find this is what he agreed to. He had admitted to downloading child porn and the wiping it so that they couldnt find it in his broader cache.

   I’m of two minds here. 1) castrate the bastard 2) why the he’ll didn’t he fight this? Seems like with no proof he could have beaten the case.

   18 U.S.C. § 2256 (11) specifically excludes cartoons. “This definition does not apply to depictions that are drawings, cartoons, sculptures, or paintings depicting minors or adults.” While the news articles are highlighting that fact that the defendant had Simpsons porn on his PC, that alone would not have been a crime. As is typical in the media, and certain elements of law enforcement, there is a deliberate confusion of the facts here. (e.g. Tea Partiers are racist, semi-auto EBRs are machineguns, militias are hate groups, etc.)

   The real story is that the guy got caught sharing child porn peer-to-peer, and copped a plea.

   Which is one good reason to not use bittorrent.

   When you download ANYTHING via bittorrent, you are also uploading that document to your peers, unless you specifically set your client to leach ( and some clients won’t let you do that ).

   Whatever it is you are downloading, you are also becoming a distributor of.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
