For German troops.

You know, it’s been 65 years and all sorts of change, but I’ll bet most people still get a warm feeling from hearing that.

Don’t worry, I’m sure that the Wehrmacht troops are happy to know that their Gooberment is going to spend Billions of Euros to bail out Greece and Spain instead of buying Army cots for them. How’s that money they spent on the BHO speech in Berlin a couple of years ago instead of purchasing 5.56 working out for them?

Since German troops are deployed and train here in the U.S., surely it wouldn’t be too much more of an increase in our national debt to pay for their ammo ammo….along with quartering them.

  4. John Smith Says:

The way I hear it the german commanders have trouble getting their soldiers to follow routine orders. Good luck getting someone to order ammo. It is like a total martial opposite of historic germany. This is a situation where you start using the enemies weapons and ammo. Having a beat up Afghan made ak is lot better than throwing stones at the insurgents.

  5. Ron W Says:

Though not very acccurate, AK’s are reliable weapons that are not high maintenance. A Vietnam vet barber friend of mine, once told me that many U.S. troops with whom he served, preferred captured Kalishnakov’s and considred them superior to their M-16’s because they didn’t have to worry about them malfunctioning.

For that reason, I think it’s prudent for us here in the good ‘ol USA to have weapons that use ammo common to NATO and some other foreign (Russian and Chinese) armies.

Don’t forget, they’re busy prosecuting the most effective commander they had (the one that got over a 100 Taliban with an air strike with less than 10 “might have been civilians at 3 am in the middle of no where” casualties). The problem is they were promised to be send only to non-combat areas, but in the last 5 years the Taliban has expanded even into those former “safe” areas. And reinforcing those troops is to German politicians like Bush taxing Haliburton or Obama going on a union busting spree .

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
