At least we do not have to be confused now.

  2. Sean OH Says:

I’m concerned that I actually seem to care….

  3. Kristopher Says:

He should have been out decades ago.

He was originally a Democrat, and changed parties because he was in danger of losing his seat. The Dems called him Specter the Defector back then.

  4. Sebastian Says:

That about sums it up. If Toomey can beat Sestak, it’ll all work out. But it’s a little scary that he’s one step closer to winning.

I submit that even if, Allah forbid, Sestak were to win in November, we’d still be better off for Specter having lost now. Per Senate rules, trading a moderately crappy Democrat with massive seniority for a positively awful one with no seniority is at worst a wash, but it’s really not just about this one seat. Setting a precedent that RINOs can preserve their careers by becoming DINOs would have inflicted far more damage on the U.S. Senate than Sestak alone ever could.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
