Great idea that it runs on a standard 5.56x45mm round.

  2. Nate Says:

Awesome! Soon they won’t have to bash your door in to kill your dogs!

  3. Jerry Says:

Honey, could YOU get that? I’m ‘kinda busy.

  4. TomcatsHanger Says:

Gives a whole new meaning to “No Knock” doesn’t it?

  5. Paul Says:

Love it. for when the door must absolutely go away. Now, will some leo abuse it, with out a doubt.

If you have crooked cops, move.

  6. Shootin' Buddy Says:

So, Israel is bringing WWII anti-tank technology into 5770 (2010)? They are the kings of PR. Oy und veh!

Can’t they just parade some Zahal chicks with guns around if they want more foreign aid and not bore us with 70 year old technology that is re-made new?

  7. T F Stern Says:

I wonder if just any locksmith can get one of these or do you have to be a right wing nut job conservative.

  8. Linoge Says:

    1. FutureWeapons is running again? Shiny.

    2. God I love shaped charges.

  9. Rivrdog Says:

    1. Limited window of ranges.
    2. Must be fired frontally to the door to be breached.

This will get a lot of soldiers killed who try to use it.

I like the show, it’s not ever day you get to see the place that you work on TV. I like the host, I like even better that the host may have abandoned the “I’m super cool so I’m going to stage whisper every line”. He’s talking about cutting edge science and guns, it would come across so much better if he’d talk to audience as if he was talking to his mates over a beer instead of his team during a mission.

  11. 8notch Says:

Sure, it’s one heck of a knocker, and a darn good distraction, but now the men have to run across open ground to the door against forces they are not catching by surprise. Anyone who had been in the next room would slaughter them I would think.

    Does Joos. Dey so smart.

I thought such things were invented like 2,500 years or so ago. Arbalestas?

  13. Jay Hafemeister Says:

Didn’t this used to be called a “rifle grenade”?

  14. KCSteve Says:

I thought the key innovation in this one was the bullet trap – so you don’t have to do anything to your weapon to use it, just fit it over the barrel.

And in use, wouldn’t the team stack up back away from the door (around a corner if possible) while one member goes out to ‘knock’ so the team can come in right behind what was left of the door?

Of course this is still useless on some doors. Mine, for instance, isn’t the sort of door you’d need this for, but it’s inconveniently (for break ins) at the top of a short, steep hill section with just a 3 foot square to stand on. Try to back up and you’ll have problems. Only approach to the door is right past the windows (which have built-in burglar bars).

  15. Chas Says:

I’d rather just drive up in an M1A1 and fire a blank round to pop the door open for the little people so they can do whatever they have to do.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
