NRA Carry
First, it was noted that carry at the NRA was off limits due to state law. Now, maybe, not so much:
A person participating in the event, if he is carrying a gun, rifle, or pistol with the permission of the owner, lessee, or person or organization sponsoring the event;
Looks to me, to be an indication that NRA could, by law, give individual persons participating permission to carry. Seems to be set up for security and bodyguards and such.

This is exactly the NRA I have been describing. If they did not know the law then nobody should support them because that is negligent stupidity. If they did know the law then why are depriving their members from carrying. Isn’t that what you pay the NRA to do? Sounds like they do not trust you guys to carry safely. You actually pay for this kind of treatment? Hell the brady bunch does it for free….

What if the event building owner’s rules specify no firearms? Is the NRA obligated to oblige their rule?

I’m stupid. Is the NRA obligated to abide by their rule? English 4tw…

No. The NRA is the temporary lessee of the location. The property owners have no legal ability to tell the NRA what the rules are for weapons carry. The state laws says the NRA can giver permission to whom they choose to. All they would have to say is all NRA members/suckers and you cover it all.

Except the venue is managed on behalf of the city — meaning it is a city facility.
North Carolina law has ANOTHER law that prohibits carry in such, regardless of what the lesees may desire.

I can’t imagine that the NRA doesn’t have a couple of lawyers on staff who could make quick work of whether or not members are allowed to carry and under what circumstances.
I mean, if they really cared ……….
