Authorities say 2-year-old old Daniel Crichton was shot in the arm and upper torso on Friday after a suspected bank robber forced his way into the car in which the toddler was seated.
The child’s mother, Joann Cooper, was hit once in the foot. A 7-year-old girl also in the car was not injured.

Just another of the 11 percent (one in nine) shootings in error by American police.
On the other hand, our “undertrained” private citizens error rate is only one in fifty.
Yet private citizens shoot many times more criminals than the police do.

42 shots fired at a vehicle that was occupied by at least 3 innocents as well as the suspect… Am I the only one who dos’nt feel confident in LEO “protection”?
Stuff like this makes be believe that way too many LEO’s are trigger happy wannabe ninjas who’ll open fire at any pretext just so that they can fire their weapons at someone. And if innocent people get hit, it’s THEIR fault for being there.

As a former prosecutor, I have to say that our New Mexico State Police were the most professional law enforcement agency I had the opportunity to work with. Even the chicks are bad ass. I’ve seen a couple of guys I know go on to become exemplary administrators in civilian life. Call the cops you know what you want, but these guys are real pros in my book.

If a private citizen shot not one but TWO innocent people, and one of them was a two-year-old, you can bet he’d face criminal charges.
