Short; squeeze trigger to the rear to discharge gun. Observe, evaluate, and practice until proficient : )

One word for you; Nagant. And I don’t mean the rifle.

You might consider the Nagant revolver as having one of the most wretched triggers on the face of the planet… and I won’t argue with you. Mine is probably well over 20 pounds and a co-worker actually tweaked his wrist trying it out once.

But, when I feel I’m slipping, the Nagant comes out of it’s den for a few days and gets dry fired every so often until I can do so “comfortably” or at least without the barrel wobbling everywhere. if I keep it up I’ll probably get a lump on my forearm where the muscles for the index finger reside…

I’d actually shoot it, but the ammo I find most often that’ll fire is worthless for accuracy, so what’s the point? I may eventually dredge around online until I come up with a box of the mouse-fart load that Fiocci produces for 7.62x38R, but it’s rumored to not be that accurate of a load either. And that’s a shame, because after a series of practice runs I’m at the point where I’d really like to see if I can keep them all on a pie plate rapid-fire at ~3-5 yards.

Then again as Tam said once, most of them were only used where the accuracy requirement was minute of earlobe at muzzle-scratching distance.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
