    Schwerer Gustav railway gun

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwerer_Gustav

    Caliber: 800mm.
    Barrel: 32.5 meters
    Range: up to 48 km.
    Weight of projectile: 4.8 t (4,800 kg)
    Crater size: 30 ft (10 m) wide 30 ft (10 m) deep.

The shells are as big as a tank.

    Oh…..yeah…..

Gustav? Naw! The gun built and used by the Heinies to shell Paris in WWI called, not surprisingly, the “Paris Gun”! I like that one for what it was built/used for.

Nebelwerfer, how else do you fit a 6 inch gun in your garage.

  5. John Smith Says:

A konigstiger panzer or a davy crockett mortar.

The holy grail regarding the NFA would be the permanent and total demise of the NFA ; )

Yes! As for me, I’d be glad to settle for an old M-16A1 from the CMP. Spray and pray may not be a practical combat technique, but it’s a lot of fun at the range while shouting, “EAT LEAD AND DIE, YOU COMMIE BASTARDS!!!” It’s therapeutic like that.

Lyle gets it right. You all can wax poetic about whatever obscure bit of engineering you like (I’ll take a Walther MPL please), but the real ‘Holy Grail’ is being able to order, and have delivered through the mail, the hardware of your choice at non-artificially inflated prices.

How long would this government last if every tea party protest sign required an FBI background check and a $200 tax stamp? That’s what a free man needs to ask himself.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
