Thanks for this one. It’s a tragic telling of an abuse of power done under the guise of safety, but in it is a quote that makes me shiver in delight:

The cops don’t get it. The Constitution does not say “the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed unless such infringement makes an officer of the government feel safer.” The biggest reason the American populace are armed was never to fight off bears or wild Indians but to make agents of the government feel unsafe — really, really unsafe — should they try to take away our rights. That’s why a citizen militia is “necessary to the security of a free state.”

Some of the LEOs are starting to become the part of the government that the founders were thinking of when they came up with the second amendment.

I have a friend who became a cop in Montana. When she was at the academy someone asked about people having a gun in their car during a traffic stop. The instructor told them “If you’re worried about someone having a gun in their car then you are becoming a cop in the wrong state.”.

I have never been in a situation as that. However I have dealt with rookie law enforcement. My father and I went to changed out a broken radiator for my sister. She was shopping and plastic piece of junk ruptured. Anyhow as soon as we finish and are driving away a female police officer pulled us over. The reason? The tag light was out. How you can spot a tag light out on a summer afternoon is beyond my skill set. So she has us pulled over and she takes my dad’s registration license and keys to the car. All the while with her pistol drawn. When she comes back she
She calls for backup then returns each item one trip at a time with pistol drawn while waiting for backup. Backup arrives and the other officer is resting his head on the suv steering wheel not even paying attention. I for some bizarre reason find the situation hilarious and start laughing at her every time she walks up. 45 minutes later she finally has had enough and lets us off with a warning to get the tag light fixed because it could cause an accident. My guess is she thought she had some major underworld figures who drive nice old volare sedans.

    And in Colorado, too:

This one goes on in 6 installments. He gets his gun back, but loses his job.

none of my vehicles has ever been searched when I was present. I would not allow it and they didn’t want to get a warrant. I did have a car searched while parked and I was nowhere about. Not surprisingly, no cop or deputy would admit to doing it. Then they searched my room, again when I was gone. This time, I had a name because the maid saw him. I called the DA and told him I was looking for the deputy and when I found him , I was going to kill him.

You can imagine their displeasure, but that deputy disappeared from the entire county and no one bothered me again for the whole six months I remained in the area. Oh, and I was not involved in a damn thing illegal.

Of course, somebody in the comments claims “u would be amazed at how many bad guys have ccw’s…. Think before u speak”

Please, do tell. In Florida, there were only a thousand or so revocations in 2009. How many people were arrested in FL in 2009?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
