    4. Continue taking son to range, get wife out more (although she is quite good herself)
    5. Get new range buddy or two
    6. Continue my missionary work on firearms and hunting amongst my fellow liberal Democrats

In addition to the foregoing gun resolutions, I’ll be shooting a compound bow someone gave my son and fishing more. Also, teach son to tie flies.

  12. DirtCrashr Says:

Part 1.) just arrived, the shootin’ spectacles – Part 2.) is to get them workin’ right (may require an optical do-over) so I can see what I’m shootin’ at. Part 3.) Make Expert with the AR (I can dream).

  13. Hartley Says:

Spend more time out shooting and less time on the Internets reading about it.

  14. John Says:

I’m completely new to the field, so I hope to become proficient with a 22 LR rifle.

  15. Eagle 1 Says:

  16. Heather Says:

Taking a defensive handgun course. Become more comfortable going to the range by myself.

  17. Kristopher Says:

Ordered a .50 BMG AR upper ( Look Ma! No federal paperwork! ), and built an AR lower to put it on.

Learning how bloody spendy .50 BMG is, even to reload ( I already own an OWS Rock Crusher press … ). Not quite as bad as 20mm Lahti, but getting there.

Need to learn to shoot it effectively at stupidly long ranges … will need another gun club, as my current range is candy-assed about .50 BMG. Maybe I’ll go to Douglass Ridge in Estacada …

  18. M4Finny Says:

I plan to get involved with my club in two areas: 3Gun matches and in pro-gun/pro-self defense activism.

  19. oldsmobile98 Says:

    – learn basic marksmanship
    – get people to go to Second Amendment March (state and local
    – get training with my .308
    – get one of my TN reps to introduce a carry on campus bill

  20. dave Says:

Get off my sorry ass and get some shooting in. Taking the AR and the M1A out for a spin tomorrow, so I’m already ahead of the game!

  21. kaveman Says:

Shoot the hell out of my CCW piece(s). Buy a new gun safe. Buy a gun March 2nd for SCOTUS oral arguments. Buy another gun late June early July when SCOTUS rules on McDonald.

But I always buy a gun on July 4th anyways.

  22. Diomed Says:

Recruit more people to the dark side … of machineguns.

  23. Jailer Says:

Actually learn how to use the mil dots on my mil dot scope(s).

  24. Fûz Says:

Put a brake on Bobbbie Jo, the 6.5 Grendel

    Reload for the 6.5 Grendel

Develop an elk load for Bettie Jean, the Garand

CCW lawfully in two more States

  25. Old Doctor Weasel Says:

~ Shoot my Mosin (got for Christmas from wife!!!)
~ Shoot my Spanish Mauser (now that it’s back from the smith)
~ Shoot my Astra Model 1921 (when it and the 9mm Largo show up in the mail)
~ Slow down on gun & ammo purchases so wife doesn’t get upset
~ Buy more guns & ammo … oh, wait …
~ Reload .45 ACP and consider reloading other calibers
    ~ Concealed carry more often

  26. Kristopher Says:

Doc Weasel: You can shoot .38 ACP safely in that model 400 … the brass will resemble 9mm largo afterward.

9mm luger is loaded to the same pressure, and will shoot in it, but with some feed problems.

I did shoot .38 super in mine once … not again, Kinda scary powerful load for a blowback pistol.

  27. Jim W Says:

    Get a job.
    Purchase more guns.
Maybe some ammo if I get lucky.
    Shoot more.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
