Race and crime
Newsweek tells us that most folks haven’t heard of a serial killer in NC because the killer is killing black women. Because the press is racist. Kinda like how nobody outside of East Tennessee has heard of th Christian/Newsom murders.

I would think that class has more to do with it than race in the NC situation. I assume if the crack whores turning up dead were white, we’d have not heard about it either.
No real good excuse for why the Christian/Newsom murders weren’t a bigger story nationally.

Seems these days that the lines are blurred with respect to race/class. They usually mean the same thing.
