Another note: one of the commenters said that his dad loaded some 44 mags on the hot side and got a 3ft. flame out of a Ruger. The Ruger held up to the abuse. Wisely, he backed off after that, but mayhap the Ruger is the better product?
Don’t be afraid to reload, but you have to have a little common sense before you start. I try to use powders that are bulky enough that a double charge is glaringly obvious. Guns are expensive, and blowing them up is painful.

I have heard that ruger revolvers can fire rounds that other revolvers cannot.
