Fail the interview
Joe offers some self-defense advice:
In some of my training via Insights the instructor referred to the initial stages of a violent confrontation as being interviewed. The interview might be conducted in silence from a distance, it might be by asking you for the time or for “money for a cup of coffee”, and it might only take a few seconds. But almost for certain the bad guy will conduct an “interview” of some type before attacking.

Last week you posted a link to a video of an English youth working himself up to attack a calm fellow who kept his control during the “interview” and then decked the yob with one punch. The “interview” can also be the attacker working up his courage/adrenalin enough to attack.

Happens every day on my way to and from school. Homeless dudes everywhere. You gotta stare them down and say NO assertively.

There’s a good story somewhere on the internet about a woman who was alone at work and apparently being interviewed by some scumbag for rape. She failed the interview and the dude left. Very interesting story, all women should read it. Now if I could just find it…

Here is a story of a guy whose interviewer failed to pick up on his unsuitability.
