US to Canada: Mine!

U.S. ammo hoarders frustrating Canadian hunters

Did a search for “Canadian Ammunition” to check out the ammo situation there, and I notice that they have access to guns that we don’t. Canadaammo.com has an IWI Tavor T.A.R. 21 5.56mm (presumably banned from import as assault weapon in US) or Dominion Arms Grizzly Shotgun (pump) – 12.5″ – 12 ga – nonrestricted (SBS in US). Yeah, I might go for a double-barreled, 12″ 12gauge for $299 with free shipping, if I was Canadian. They can also get Norinco products, which we in the US cannot. I guess we’re still free to look at other countries’ freedom, even if our own oppressive government won’t allow us to touch it.
That Norinco 1911A1 – Police Model – Two Tone, looks pretty nice too.

    Dear Canada,

How about you figure out a way that an American can buy some of that Very Nice 1998 or later .303 produced at IVI? Or perhaps get my mitts on one of those admittedly overpriced 7.62 No4 Mk10 rifles?

You want us to share our shooty goodness? You first.

  3. Pete Says:

Pineiro, who used to live in the U.S., isn’t critical of the panic buying that’s causing problems for Canadians.

“I’d do the same thing if all of a sudden I thought the government here was going to make it real hard for me to get ammo. I’d stock up, big time. It’s a right.”

Hey Pineiro, you live in Canada. They already have the laws on the books that the Brady’s could only dream about. Those laws are the ones we fear.

Here’s a Canadian having too much fun with an unrestricted 12.5″, 12 gauge. Pistol grip and 3″ magnums – at least he says it hurts:

The “sporting purposes” requirement for imports needs to go away, I want to be able to buy Izmash produced AKs that don’t need extensive modification to be usable.
Also the bizarre thing about the tiny swiss revolver being illegal for import because it had “no sporting purpose”.

Not having Norincos here is fine by me they have done a lot of bad things including one of their subsidiaries being involved in smuggling weapons into the US to sell to gangs.

As a Texan, I readily say, cry me a river, bitch!

    Screw the northern mexicans!!!

I only have 15,000 rounds stocked up.

OK, I have more alot more, but I’m not going to admit it on a public forum!

    heh

From the article: “Gardner said he expects the shortage to ease when panicked U.S. gun owners realize they went off half-cocked about Obama.”

I expect the shortage to ease too. But, it has nothing to do with being “wrong about Obama”. We were right and we are still right about the President. Canadians can pack sand and start collecting rocks and sharp sticks for all I care. They voted in gun control, let them deal with it. Some of the comments on the article related bulletin board were ridiculous. One reader was hoping that we (Americans) kill one another of and allow them to sell tickets. Gardner’s “voice of reason” regarding overreaction to Obama is the same voice that soothed the ears of Canadians as their rights were being stripped away.

With a little luck, we may get to see the bursting of the “ammo bubble” here as the hoarders come to realize that the much-anticipated “zombie apocalypse” or whatever isn’t going to happen.
They’re also going to find that when one in five is unemployed, they won’t want to spend big bucks on ammo to punch paper with. Buy high, sell low, suckers.

  10. Tomcatshanger Says:

    Two things.

    1. Where are the Canadian ammunition manufacturers.

    2. Listening to those who already live under oppressive gun control say those worried about it are over reacting is a bit like listening to a rape victim telling a fellow female commuter not to buy a gun.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
