The wrong kind of violence to be talking about

Seems if you talk about the kid who was beaten to death in Chicago, that just provides cover for the gun lobby. You see, if you talk about that when you should be talking about the gun lobby, you’re not being helpful.

But it doesn’t matter. We should ban weapons that look like assault weapons because of this death. Instead of two by fours.

  1. Stranger Says:

Gun hobbyists are “the gun lobby” in that Cloud Cookooland the Brady Bunch and their contributors inhabit. The land where restrictive gun laws do not shoot violent crime rates sky high, most countries with restrictive gun laws do not become absolute monarchies within a generation, England really is a gun free, crime free paradise, and fresh wacky weed is delivered by the post office. Whenever the postman can get that silly grin off his face and unload his bag of munchies.

Here in the real world, gun hobbyists are “civil rights activists.” We have a right to keep and bear arms, and we actively support that right. The more guns we keep and bear, the lower the violent crime rates get. So the more of us there are, the better and safer and freer this real world gets.

Much to the disappointment of those Aristotle called “natural slaves.” People so poor in spirit they would trade the chances of freedom for the security of whips and chains.
