The politics of death

A look at how how MA chooses a successor. Interestingly, the law was put there in case Kerry won. And Kennedy recently tried to change it back.

Party above all.

Who cares? It’s not like Senators represent their states anymore. They represent themselves, their parties, the media, but not their State. Thank you 17th Amendment.

They represent themselves while lying to the rest of us.

I do like the fact that the Dems shot themselves in the foot on this one as they could have nominated a Dem to fill the seat, now if they go to election it would be even money they will elect a Rep.

Of course the Dems will then recount until their guy is in. That is how we got Franken. Recounted 13 times and only the Dem count went up. Rep count only went down.

    Paul,

No offense, but you’re delusional if you think MA will elect a Republican.

This is a state run by a Demo gov, that has only Democratic congressman, and until this morning, two Dem Senators.

And the state government is like 90% Democrat.

They *OWN* this state lock, stock, and barrel.

And the odds of someone not named “Kennedy” not getting the seat about a kabillion to one…

(In that vein, I’m toying with running for the seat just for chuckles…)

I was hoping it would be feats of strength, or at least a hot chili eating contest.

Check out who the Rep candidates could be …. way at the bottom .. Our ATF buddy Michael Sullivan

Maybe, MA did elect Romny(?) to be their Governer. He didn’t change things fast enough so they went to the tried and true.

Dems do own the state which would make this election even better if it went the other way.

I suppose dreams are delusions of a sort.

    Have a great day.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
