Odd case

In AZ, a man shot someone in self-defense. There was a lot of controversy over the shooting, including a bit about the decedent’s criminal history. Also, I was unaware that prosecution would try to tell a jury that 10mm was too much gun. Seemed like just enough to me.

    Yes, that case got a lot of people fired up out here, and State law was changed as a result – if you shoot someone today under the same circumstances that Mr. Fish went through, you can feel confident you won’t be arrested and charged, let alone convicted. It is a significant shame that when they passed that legislation, they neglected to make it retroactive, which would have freed him immediately.
