Well, there’s the solution – maybe they should outlaw the growing of marijuana in Canada?.. oh, wait..

I guess it is too hard to get the Russians to ship AK-47s to Canada, so they have to buy locally?

The US IS the source of all the world’s gun problems. We are the source of this idea that not only do people have the right to pursue life, Liberty, and property, but that they actually have the right to DEFEND these things with violent force when necessary.
This insanity is actually propped up by obscure legal documents like the Constitution, which basically says absurd, barbarous things like the PEOPLE are sovereign and that the state is SUBORDINATE to them! Madness!
This kind of dog-eat-dog, survival of the fittest, anti-social, inhumane, anti-progressive, capitalistic, imperialist thinking should be consigned to the trash heap of history!
So says the anti-civil rights types. We are the source of Liberty, and therefore, we are the source of tools to defend that ideal. Not in the material sense, but in the spiritual.
