Before renewing his gun permit in 2007, the authorities decided to inquire into Lemieux’s bedroom history. Did he divorce anyone in the last two years? Did he break up with a girlfriend? If yes, use a separate sheet to explain.

Well, it was nothing personal. Apparently, Canada’s government feels it ought to know the romantic status of all firearm owners.

Just another step on the road to complete gun control.
First it was anyone convicted of domestic violence, then any accused of domestic violence.
Now, it is going to be anyone who may have the possibility of domestic violence will be denied their rights.
Look for this to spread to America rather quickly.

I would use that form (interview?) to write extremely snarky comments like “I only have sex with hookers” or “Just had sex with Rosey Palms and her five sisters in the car.” Or how about something more political like: “I get sodomized by the government every day”.

Pierre Lemieux is awesome…one of the true pro-liberty heroes of the Great White North.
Bruce Montague is another Canadian Self-Defense Rights hero, and his teen daughter Katey does well-made, pro-gun-rights videos on YouTube, partly inspired by the graphic art of Oleg Volk.
They have an uphill battle in Canada. I send money to the National Firearms Association of Canada, after I write my check to the NRA here.

(from an unmarked number too, that made things take even longer for me)
Oh, BTW that’s just for a rifle/shotgun, It’s another test+interview if you want to upgrade to a “restricted” (for *some* handguns)
And our “Conservative” Govt has thus far done bupkis WRT the rifle registry!
(I count S-5 as nothing as that is exactly what it accomplishes for owners)

Well, since the antis believe that a firearm is compensation for a small penis, this might be seen to have some bearing 🙂
