Et tu, Yon?

I expect the press to repeat the lies about guns in Mexico. But not Michael Yon.

Have to agree. I’m terribly disappointed.

Hopefully he’ll read his comments section and try to get his facts as he usually does, independently.

He does appear to be catching hell in his comments, mostly from people pointing out the facts that are beyond the usual MSM trumpeting of BS. Nice to see that at least most of the Gunnies are being polite.

I’m pretty sure Yon reads his comments. He should figure out he’s been had.

I live in New Mexico and I am in the Roofing Trade. That means I deal with a lot of “Mexican Nationals”, and have for 20 years. I speak spanish and discuss this with my “Mexican” friends. This whole story of weapons from America is BS!!! Hell I can’t even get a Taurus PT22 right now from my local dealer. The order was place 6 weeks ago with still no sign of it coming anytime soon. It should seem pretty evident that the cartels are getting their weaponry from the same sources as the raw products they sell. The more of these lies I read the more frustrated I get.

  4. The Armed Partisan Says:

Michael Yon is OUT OF THE CLUB FOREVER.

  5. Unix-Jedi Says:

    Nope.

    He’s Zumboing.

“My work is misquoted around the world every day, but nowhere as often as on my own site. Some readers seem to think that I wish to ban firearms in the United States, or that I claim that automatic weapons are flowing to Mexico. Automatic weapons almost certainly are flowing to Mexico, which would explain how they got there. But I didn’t write it. Nor would an easy reading of the short dispatch reveal that I am calling to ban guns in the United States. It’s just fascinating to see apparent gun-fanatics misquote a document that is just inches away on the same computer screen. If they invest only that minimal level of attention to the guns they are apparently packing, it’s just a matter of time before they accidentally shoot themselves or someone else. Attention to detail is an important component of gun safety.”

Tried to comment, capcha went nuts on me. So I posted.

McCaffery is scum, and will do and say whatever it takes to earn a buck. If Obama and his old friends the Clintons want to strike back at the NRA, doesn’t surprise me that he’d fall right in line, especially with the realization the DEA and Pentagon are paying him and his clients big bucks.

Yon too. Has quite a reputation. Wouldn’t surprise me if he has “funding” sources beyond mearly his web page tip jar. He’s a great asset for the military, and military contractors, and of course Yon wants to keep the access open.Might even be on McAffery’s pay roll (stranger things have happened). So, he goes along to get along,

Will be interesting to see if Glenn Reynolds calls him out on this.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
