And now, the subversion of democratic* principles is complete

Kurita lost her write in campaign. This after having the primary taken from her by her party for not toeing the line.

Aunt B. brings the ouchie:

You may have cost Kurita the election, but mark my words–she cost you the state. Because the rest of us were sitting here thinking “Oh, well, now we know where the state Democrat’s priorities are; not with us.”

Ouch. Worse than that, read “state Democrats’ priorities” instead. Remind me to never tell you what I do for a living. I should have caught that.

I don’t understand what is going on here? She won the primary and the party took the victory away from her?

  3. SayUncle Says:

    yes.

she was on one of the nashville stations last night with an “I have not yet begun to fight!” attitude.

    It aint over

Wow, that is some bullshit. I admit to some ignorance about TN election laws, but even party primaries are governed by ordinary election laws, no? Or is it just a nominally democratic process that is really governed by the say-so of the party? I know in Florida that there are all sorts of rules for primaries, especially ones where the main election will be uncontested after the primary ends.

I’m a democrat, and I’ll be the first to tell you, TN Dems suck.

Welcome to California, it’s the future, you have been assimilated.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
