Tactical Wire, noting that Para USA will be moving to Charlotte so they can be in the USA, mentions a new pistol:
One of the first pistols to be assembled in Para’s Charlotte location will be the new “GI Expert” 1911 pistol. The Para “GI Expert” is an entry level 1911 pistol that will allow new marksmen to own a pistol that will give them what they need to become an Expert shot with the big bore .45.

IOW, they’re trying to build an entry-level factory Hardball gun for NRA Bullseye competition.
(The three classes in Bullseye are Rimfire, Centerfire, and Hardball; the latter of which is shot with a stock-appearing 1911.)
