Of course he did, because everything the NRA’s saying about Commissar Obama is true.
Helmke sure has a hangup about the “NRA spy” didnt he?

How did you like the lie about Obama’s vote to “keep 18 year olds from getting CCW permits”?
Here is where an alleged journalist should have called him on it, not let it degrade into a a “he said, he said” argument where the viewer can just choose to believe whom he wants.
Illinois doesn’t have concealed carry, period. An FOID card is a Firearms owner Identification card. In Illinois to legally own any firearm, one must have an FOID. So Helmke lied about the vote to prevent teenagers from concealed carry. A journalist would have known that and called him on it, while presenting the truth. Instead, through ignorance or agenda they let him slide so that any rebuttal by an interested party can be dismissed as a difference of opinion, or any lesser excuse to believe in the lie. By not doing the work and presenting the facts the alleged journalist keeps the public from being able to make an informed judgment.
