Good

My Fox Philly:

A Pennsylvania soccer mom who packs a pistol is getting her concealed weapon permit back.

Meleanie Hain on Tuesday persuaded a Lebanon County judge to rescind the sheriff’s revocation of her permit.

She had lost the permit after other parents complained last month that she was carrying her loaded handgun in a holster at her daughter’s soccer game.

Judge Robert Eby said even though the law required him to give her the permit back, he questioned whether Hain showed good judgment by ignoring other parents’ safety concerns.

Their safety concerns were unfounded. Unless they believe in totemism and think inanimate objects are capable of acting of their on volition.

Persuaded? The judge didn’t have a choice, and said as much.

“Please, please mister justice, can I have my rights back?”

Unfounded? Good grief, she’s reminding them of their own mortality! And their powerlessness, all at the same time. What could be worse that that?

Good for her. And good for the judge for putting the law before his own druthers (unlike the sheriff).

Interesting perspective. I wonder if he considered that the other parents used poor judgment in considering the risks that the ignored.

Nah, probably not. Only those without a means to provide their own safety show good judgment.

Sheep dogs should never show teeth around sheep. The sheep cannot tell the difference between a sheep dog and a wolf.

As an aside the only thing a CCW is good for is helping the sheep dogs in charge be sure you are one of them.

    “…other parents’ safety concerns.”

“Other parents” are victims of the Hollywood perception of guns. You know; you just touch them or bump them slightly and they fire unintentionally. Happens constantly with all gun owners, but since they’re so stupid and blinded by their own reckless machismo (and probably drunk) they don’t see the grave danger in it.

I think people who let their guns be shown are pretty stupid. They’re making themselves an “open target” if someone decides to rob a bank, store, whatever it may be. There’s a reason why it should be “concealed”, that’s protection from a criminal getting your gun & protecting you from being the 1st one shot at! Common sense!
I’m a woman who’s carried for several years now & keep mine hidden. I’ve had to pull it out 2 times because of road rage & it did change the man’s mind! I didn’t have to kill anyone, hopefully I never will but I truly feel it saved my life twice so far!
People better wake up, the world’s getting more dangerous everyday now! EVERYONE should learn how to shoot then get themself a permit to carry. The numerous criminals all have guns. You having a gun may keep you from being their next victim!

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
