Good thing he didn’t have to squeeze one off, that weapon really will fire in one long stream until empty. Close call that.

It’s hard to imagine the conversation;
“Give me your money or else.”
“Or else what, exactly?”
“Or you’ll be sorry.”
“What’s in the bag, sock, whatever?”
“Just never you mind! Give me the damned money!”
“Well, I’m perfectly willing to accomodate you, but I have to know the particular threat I’m under. I mean, for all I know you’ve got a hot dog in there. Not particularly threatening, that. Wouldn’t you agree? Now if you’ll just see your way to actually showing me what’s in there, or at least describing it in a convincing manner, we can get back to the robbery bit. I figure you wouldn’t actually shoot me straight away, assuming that’s a gun of some sort, else we wouldn’t be having this conversation, what?”
…and so on.
