Couple of local political races
Overbey defeats Finney. You’ll recall that in his time in the house Overbey crossed party lines to vote for Jimmy Naifeh as speaker of the house. Jimmy Naifeh, you’ll recall, is our lying speaker of the house who keeps abusing his power to kill pro-gun bills.
And it looks like the dirty pool paid off: Duggan beats Meares.

the BEP revision is what doomed Finney. I’m not sure what it cost Blount County, but it cost Sevier County 4 million dollars. That was too big a hole to climb out of. I credit the NRA and gun owners for making it as close as it was.

Is there a reason not to uncase some torches & pitchforks? Or better yet, tar & feathers?
