McCain: Chicago Gun Ban Infringes On Rights

What say you, Barack? Like most other things that are politically inconvenient, are you going to throw your gun-banning ways under the bus?

ooooh! This is SO MUCH FUN.

  2. Jeffersonian Says:

If it’s politically unpopular, Baracky is dead-set against it. He’ll throw Obama V1996.0 under that bus before you can scream “God damn America!”

  3. RWC Says:

    Already under the bus –

With the Supreme Court poised to rule on Washington, D.C.’s, gun ban, the Obama campaign is disavowing what it calls an “inartful” statement to the Chicago Tribune last year in which an unnamed aide characterized Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., as believing that the DC ban was constitutional.

“That statement was obviously an inartful attempt to explain the Senator’s consistent position,” Obama spokesman Bill Burton tells ABC News.

  4. Mikee Says:

The Obama analysis needs to be a bit more…..nuanced.

The whole reason for BHO’s success has been his success in reflecting the desires of constituencies, because he has no core beliefs of his own, beyond expedience in gaining power, nor any record to refute anything that anyone believes he supports.

Every time he has to open his mouth and state a position, he loses some of his audience, who say to themselves, “He certainly doesn’t support what I thought he supported!”

McCain 53% to Obama 47% in the popular vote, McCain 60% tp Obama 40% in the electoral college, is my prediction. Why? Because a grumpy old man with a hot, beer-company owning wife is a better candidate and will be a better President than a young, charismatic, smooth-talking socialist.

  5. Rabbit Says:

Barack Koo Stark Obama is going to need a bigger bus.

    Rabbit.

Granted, but that differs from McCain exactly how? Do we really need to list all of McCain’s flip-flops from even just a couple of years ago?

  7. Dan Says:

That would be great if B.H.O. would treat this ruling like he has treated everything else he’s been wrong on.

    McCain just got my vote.

  8. Lyle Says:

BHO’s already on record as having respect for the decision, but thinking it gives enough lattitude to allow for “reasonable” gun bans, you know, where they are needed.

Sorry to rain on anyone’s McCain parade, but that miserable, petty-minded, self-aggrandizing piece of shit has made a carreer out of pissing off conservatives and side-stepping the Bill of Rights. What, pray tell, makes anyone think he’s going to change after all his years in office? His recent words? Heh.

  9. straightarrow Says:

I can’t fault or find flaw in what tgirsch or Lyle had to say. Let’s face it. There is no acceptable candidate for the presidency. We really do need a box for “none of the above” on the ballot.

I think I will write in Sam Nunn.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
