Did not know that

The Department of State classifies some rifle scopes as controlled items. This means you cannot export an Aimpoint out of country without jumping through hoops.

  1. JKB Says:

All scopes for firearms are controlled for export. State controls those designed or modified for military use by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations but the others are controlled by Commerce via the Export Administration Regulations.

You also have to be careful on what they classify as a scope for firearms. Daisy got fined for exporting scopes they sell with their BB guns

Pretty ironic considering that they’re imported…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
