The attack has echoes of the murder of Garry Newlove, the 47-year-old who was kicked to death by drunken teenagers outside his home in Warrington, Cheshire, last year after confronting them for vandalising his wife’s car.

Add this lunacy to the pedestrian observation cameras, and you have a country just begging to be conquered by an outside force or re-taken by freedom-loving citizens.
