Honor system

So, a guy at a national lab was alleged making some side money selling gun accessories taken from work on Ebay:

A federal agency has ordered the Energy Department to reinstate a training specialist fired after a Pantex probe into illegal Internet sales of government-issued rifle scopes and laser aiming devices.

Details:

A special agent testified that Bilodeau sold Sizemore a government-issued rifle scope and a laser targeting system similar to those used by Special Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq. Bilodeau testified that he issued some items to Sizemore, but expected him to return them under the agency’s “honor system” policy.

The administrative judge assigned rejected the government’s findings and ordered it to reinstate Bilodeau. The Energy Department has not appealed the ruling.

Hell, they can’t even fire you for it.

And I got fired from a government lab for allowing my daughter and wife to browse the Internet with a company laptop computer.

    There is no justice.

We really have to start shunning all government employees. Anyone who works for them and preforms a job not explicitly stated in the constitution must be informed of their evil ways. Sure, putting 5 vibrating dildos in your ass and walking down the street during a gay pride parade is legal – but do we want to encourage such behavior??

I’m familiar with how hard it can be.

A prior job was contracting with the .gov. There was a permanent .gov employee in DC who surfed porn literally all day long.

Every week, we’d send up the report of how many websites he’d hit that had been blocked, and for a while, we even had 1 guy do nothing but follow the links this guy did and verify that they were infact, websites disallowed.

I was there 3 years. (Left when the contract turned over). He’s still in DC, and I’m guessing, still surfing.

I was a Federal Government employee for almost 25 years, as a Firefighter. “Firefighter” is “a job not explicitly stated in the constitution”. Are YOU gonna inform me, and my brother and sister Federal Firefighters of our “evil ways”? Not everyone who works for the Federal Government is like the fucking BATF!

Believe it or not HardCorps, the majority of Federal employees are decient, concientous, hard working people who’re no different than the majority of people working in non-government jobs.

I’m pretty damn sure my job was a lot more respectable than YOURS is! And if you want to shun people like myself and my fellow Fed Firefighters by all means do so. We dont need, or want, the company of narrow minded people like you.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
