I see Paul Helmke is pushing the mythology that the passage of HR 2640 into law represents the first major new gun control bill in more than a decade. That claim is totally false. Here’s some details of the bill.
Joe warns of the dangers of compromise. The good thing about this bill is that it provides relief from disabilities and that’s a good thing.

That’s no surprise, show me a claim made by Helmke that’s TRUE. Then I’ll be surprised.

I am not surprised, but am greatly disappointed that so many who claim to be on our side actually supported 2640. You know which “gun rights support leaders” I mean.
The stlalking horse is loose, the next bill is written. Compromise is what got us here, so, ofcourse, it makes sense we need more of it.
