Didn’t they used to be Sig Sauer?

Didn’t they used to be Sig Sauer?

    Not quite.

SigArms has been the importer of Sig Sauer pistols for some time now, but they have their own weapons that they make. The Mosquito and Sig 556 are examples of those. The P226 would be a Sig Sauer Pistol.

Basically SigArms imports the really quality Sig Sauer’s along with making their own and slapping the ‘Sig’ name on them thus tarnishing the good rep of Sig Sauer. For years I thought they were one in the same and couldn’t understand how something like the Mosquito could come of our Sig Sauer.

    Now I know.

So who makes the new line of Sig 1911’s? Is it Sig Sauer or is it Sig Arms?

They should make a really bitchin’ black rifle and call it “Sig Saueron”.

Duh… I’m like ben, I thought that WAS their name.

Right, nobody can pronouce “Sauer” now. I get asked for one more “Sig Sawyer”, I’mma scream like a little girl. How do all these people pronounce sauerkraut? SawyerKraut? Tom Sauer, the kaiser’s favorite rapscallion runaway?

    Anyway.

My rep told me they were merging the brands(I asked him if it was to unify their cohesive synergy, and he just paused for a long while), and droppin the price on the mosquito $130 to celebrate. Translation, they realized that the P22, crappy little plastic gun it is, was eating their lunch at $200 less.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
