My pet peeve with bicyclists is when they go zooming around the walking paths in parks and expect all the pedestrians to jump out of their way because they can’t be bothered to slow down a bit to avoid running them over. Alot of times the don’t even give you an audible warning, you just suddenly hear this whirrring noise right behind you and have to guess which side he’s planning to pass you on so you can jump for you life in the right direction.

Every now and then you find THE subject that gets people to jump up and talk. Yes, there are going to be some who yell and point fingers, but there are a lot who will listen, even among the finger-pointers.
After it’s all over, the intelligent and sane among us will think about what the other side said and will make a few changes.
Some won’t. We call these people “a**holes”.

Cyclists seem to be, more often than not, total assholes toward pedestrians when they “share” a hiker-biker path. The more the cyclist looks like Lance Armstrong, the bigger chance that s/he’s going to do something rude/stupid/unsafe.
I’ve been hit twice by assholes on bikes while I was on foot.
