Castle Doctrine in TN

Looks like the bill is moving forward:

The bill would expand the circumstances under which a person using deadly force for self-defense is considered immune from civil liability.

Under present law, a person is justified in using deadly force in his or her residence if they have a reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury.

The pending legislation would expand the use of deadly force to include within a vehicle or dwelling, as opposed to just a person’s own residence.

Actually, under present law if you have a reasonable fear of death or serious bodily injury, it doesn’t matter where you’re located. This bill mostly makes you immune from civil liability.
