Taxes

Doing them today. Feh. Waste of a nice, warm Sunday. Fuckers.

Update: Wow. First time I’ve gotten a refund in years and years. I was amazed and didn’t know why. Then it occurred to me that I did spend the first half of the year unemployed. Guess that explains it.

I got that beat. George “hates the poor” Bush’s tax “cuts” netted me $5k each of the last three years on account of I’m a poor grad student with 2 kids. I paid no tax and got all that “back”. Bush, he’s so heartless!

George Bush’s tax cuts created incentives to investors which resulted in me making big bucks working on capitol development projects the lsat few years.

Ours were weird this year. Paid the AMT first time ever. Itemized for the first time in about ten years (because of Tennessee income tax paid last year). First time we didn’t end up owing since I can remember. (We won’t get a check though, our accountant applied it to next year’s taxes.) We’ll probably get audited.

Well, that, and as I recall, you have one more tax deduction than you had last year…

Got a large refund. Apparently, George Bush likes property owners. Of course, I’ll probably squander the money on causes devoted to things he’s against…

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
