More bans on weapons that look like assault weapons

Joe says there might be one in WA. Must be something in the water lately.

    Argh! What!?!

These dips are relentless. At least they made it so draconian that it has no hope. And they show their ignorance by including muzzle brakes as an assault weapon feature. Idiots.

Given that the WA Supreme Court just stated that both the state and federal constitutions guarantee an individual RKBA, I really don’t see how a registration and inspection fee is going to pass legal muster.

What’s sad is that letter writing on my part isn’t going to do any good. My two state reps (yes, we have two) are the House Majority Leader and his GFW protege.

    Same here.

The good thing is that’s actually just the 2005 attempt at a ban. Joe thinks they’re gonna try it again in the next session. I dunno, but I doubt it could pass.

The bad news is, the Dems have damn close to a 2/3 majority in both houses, and they’re led by the Seattle Socialists.

The good news is, we have a part-time legislature, and they’ve got a lot of other stuff that’s higher priority and that will be big fights, especially the bidget and education-look for a big fight over standardized must-pass testing to graduate (WASL).

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
