All gun owners are criminals
Earlier this month, Cook County Board member Joseph Moreno stood before the county board and called for “…house to house searches to pull every gun out of Cook County.” Moreno’s statement comes within days of Blagojevich claiming that anyone in Chicago who owns a gun is a “gang banger” and is “…up to no good.”
That’s a lot of … which may indicate Dowdifying. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it were the case. Looks like they have something in common with Cali.

House to house searches for anything are unConstitutional.
Also, it’s not Dowdifying unless you twist the meaning 180-degrees.

Having lived in both states, I can assure you that IL is much worse than CA. CA has preemption; IL does not. IL requires a license even to own a friggin’ gun; CA does not. CA has a really crappy, unfair concealed weapon permit system, and carrying without a permit is a wobbler. IL has no provision for lawful concealed carry, and carrying without a nonexisent permit is a felony. The only advantage IL has over CA that I can think of is the lack of a statewide “assault” weapon ban, which is neat for the four or five people living outside the greater Chicago area, but worthless for the millions living inside it.
