No shall-issue CCW in Delaware

At least not this session:

Legislation to make it easier to get a permit to carry a concealed handgun is dead for this legislative session, the bill’s chief sponsor said Friday.

Rep. Deborah Hudson, R-Fairthorne, said she wanted more time for the Attorney General’s Office, the Delaware Police Chiefs Council and the National Rifle Association to produce a compromise bill.

I can already carry in Delaware on my Florida license. Delware has virtually no restrrictions on where you can carry under their current law. I look forward to all the places that will soon be off limits in order to get DE in the “shall issue” column. Delaware is currently “will issue”, meaning they don’t have to, but it’s not impossible or even that difficult to get a license there. Delawarians shouldn’t compromise that much, because what they have now isn’t honestly so bad compared to two of their neighbors (NJ and MD).

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
