6 weeks
It’s been six weeks since the second was born. Those of you with kids will know what this means. Those without will not. It’s also a time when women tend to be extra, err, fertile. So, and I shit you not, we have the pill, spermicide, condoms and plan on acting Catholic (you know, worshippers of Cathol?) for a while.

Back when I had my first long-term sexual relationship, we were paranoid about pregnancy (I was 17, she 16). So I wore spermicidal condoms and did the coitus interruptus thing. Eventually she went on the pill, and when that happened, we ditched the condoms but still did the coitus interruptus thing. I don’t miss those days one bit!
Meanwhile, I’m waiting for my wife to turn 36. If by then she’s not making huge noises about wanting little ones (I don’t want any), I’ll go in for the snipperoony.
